Big Elephant Growing Hope for the Holidays Program at the Library

Big Elephant is hosting “Growing Hope for the Holidays” #letstalkaboutit” – A mental health checkup to help keep our sanity during the busy holiday season.

Growing Hope Program Director Bill Bowler, LICDC, LPC, will facilitate the “Growing Hope for the Holidays” program at the Cuyahoga County Library, Parma branch. This is a free event which is available to the public. It is designed to help those who are directly affected by mental health diseases, such as addiction or depression, or are a family member or friend to someone who is afflicted, find healthy ways to deal with the roller coaster ride that sometimes can define these illnesses.

Bill Bowler has played an integral role in chemical dependency and addiction related counseling services in Cuyahoga County since 1976. Along with his volunteer role with Big Elephant, Mr. Bowler is currently self-employed with Nancy Lowrie and Associates: focus on the family and Intervention Alternatives. He brings a welcoming and stigma free opportunity to learn more about living a healthy lifestyle in the midst of mental health and addiction challenges.

Attendees can relax and learn essential tips and coping skills that will help alleviate stress and promote wellbeing.

The Big Elephant Growing Hope Program is scheduled for Thursday, December 3rd from 7:00 to 8:00 at the Parma Library, 6996 Powers Blvd, Parma, OH 44129. Seating is limited and based on a first come first serve basis. Questions and participation in the discussion is welcome.
